  • Naturalization Ceremonies:

           Please join us for these very moving events. We assist in the naturalization of new citizens throughout the year. Make plans to attend a ceremony if you can. Refreshments will be served after the ceremonies. Help welcome the United State's newest citizens right from our  area. The dates are 3/22/12, 5/10/12, 6/21/12, 7/26/12, and 12/6/12 in Utica at the Oneida County Office Building and 9/13/12 in Rome at Fort Stanwix.   • FUNDRAISERS
    • DAILY NUMBER DRAWING: This is HUGE.  It was such a success that we were asked to do it every year the same way. A $20 donation gets you a ticket that covers 4(four) months, August through November. Prizes are $25 daily Sunday - Friday and $100 every Saturday based on the evening draw of NYS Numbers. All purchacers are then put into a drawing for the $500 Bonus draw at the end on 11/30/12. If you want a specific number we suggest that you send in your money as soon as possible. Tickets (000-999) are on sale now and can be purchased by sending a check or money order made payable to: TP Excelsior #98. Mail check and request to: Verizon Pioneers Office, 280 Genesee St., Utica, NY 13502. We will honor specific ticket number request as long as they are available. If the number you want is already claimed, we will notify you so that you can make an alternate decision. Tickets are available until they are sold out. DON'T WAIT!  Hurry and get your lucky number now!!!
    • CANDLE SALE - Deliciously scented candles on sale now at our office or ordered through members. Prices are $12, $17, and $22 depending on size. Scents available are: Bay Winds, Cinnamon, Lavender, Rain Forest, Rose, and Vanilla. These candles have a sea-side theme with starfish, sea shells and sand in clear wax. For more Information contact Marge Wolkowicz at lsent@lspioneers.org. We have decided to sale the candles throughout the year. During different holidays there are different themes and scents.   • EVENTS
    •  ONGOING: Photo Identification - Please stop by the office and help us to identify a box full of photos from as far back as 1945. If you worked for the company or were a pioneer come and lend an eye for identifying the people in the pictures. 
    • We would like to thank everyone who joined us at Vernon Downs for two fun-filled and highly successful Racino Nights. Because of the great turnout we are planning the same again for this year. Your $10 ticket will get you a $10 free play and dinner at the buffet. The two nights are opening night and the final night of the season. Please get in contact with Marge at lsent@lspioneers.org  for more information, details and tickets. The tickets go fast so don't miss out. There will be no tickets available at the door or when we close ticket sales. Come back often for specific dates. 
    • Golf Tournament in August -  Last year's turnout was awesome and fun was had by all. We were able to raise $1000 for Mother Mary Ann's Westside Kitchen. Please plan to join us for this year's event. You won't want to miss it!!!!!(Details TBA)
    • As other events are planned we will keep you informed on this site and/or in our newsletter. For $5, you can subscribe to our printed newsletter. Just send a check for $5 and your mailing information and we will get the newsletter to you. The newsletter is printed 4(four) times a year.
